six field goals.
u/Plain_Otter_2088Jets11 points3d
Carefully.
u/Modest_Kettle_5150Bills6 points3d
I typed that and then had to go and lie down.
u/Wistful_Otter_3311Lions17 points3d
Goff has six touchdowns in two weeks and there is not one fucking thread about it anywhere on this site
u/Rolled_Oats_88LionsLions4 points3d
We are used to it and we prefer it.
u/brannagh_tNFL12 points3d
Buffalo opens the new place on a Thursday and loses to a team that lost at home last week
u/otto_vansickleBills4 points3d
The building is not the problem, the building was lovely
u/Wistful_Otter_3311Lions6 points3d
Six kicks and no touchdowns.
u/Rumpled_Awning_71Giants4 points3d
Giants are 0-2 and I sat through all of this instead of thinking about it
u/Rumpled_Awning_71Giants4 points3d
Jeudy has been in the building three weeks and already has the face.
u/Loose_Thread_2255Panthers4 points3d
Who won
u/Ivory_Doorstop_51 point3d
Detroit, 21-18, and you have not missed a great deal.
u/Gantry_Row_808EaglesJets3 points3d
Detroit is 1-1 with six passing touchdowns and Buffalo is 1-1 with six field goals and I think that covers it.
u/Modest_Kettle_5150Bills1 point3d
We are going to be fine. We are always going to be fine. That is the whole thing with us
u/westside_bflo_Bills1 point3d
I have had these seats since the old place and I want to say the new one is not the same and I know how that sounds three days later. Different noise. It comes down from somewhere instead of across. Anyway we lost.
u/paperweight_ted1 point3d
Thursday football in September is the worst product this league puts out and I watched every second of it and I will do the same next week

u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders2 points23h
Tampa laying four and a half after last week is a hell of a choice for somebody to make in an office.
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers2 points23h
We needed a get right game and here one is
u/tobias_wrenCommanders2 points23h
Is this the FOX A game or are we on the regional.
u/Plainview_RonnieBengals13 points23h
I am only here to see how long Cleveland can keep this going before somebody remembers who they are
u/Nolan_PetrosyanPackers2 points23h
Anybody else notice the Browns are getting points on the road for the second week running and the market has not moved on them at all
u/Quarry_Bend_1150RavensRavens3 points23h
Two teams I have no reason to care about and I am sat here at one o clock on a Sunday like a lunatic lol.
u/Tidal_Basin_44PatriotsPatriots2 points23h
Same, it is the only game on my television and I have made a sandwich for it.
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers14 points22h
MCMILLAN
u/Wilted_Postbox_31Texans2 points22h
36 yards and the corner was not within eight of him.
u/Sandpiper_Lane_7Vikings4 points22h
Cleveland is starting a converted safety at boundary corner and Tampa has already found him.
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers42 points22h
EIGHTY SEVEN YARDS
u/Marbled_Ledger_88Chargers14 points22h
14-0 and it took them about eight minutes.
u/Stony_Harbour_5Lions4 points22h
Well that was a fun eight days for Cleveland lmao
u/Halyard_Point_77Ravens2 points22h
Their corner has given up 123 yards in one quarter and they have not fucking touched him
u/Duval_Gary_Jaguars2 points22h
We watched this defense last week and I promise you it is not this fucking bad.
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers5 points22h
It is today
u/Tangled_Kite_909Colts15 points22h
BOSTON
u/Tangled_Kite_909Colts2 points22h
He boxed McCollum out on that like it was a rebound and came down with both feet
u/north_olmsted_nateBrowns2 points22h
Here we go. Two plays, fourteen points, and everybody who spent a week telling us last Sunday was fake gets to say it out loud
u/parkview_paulineBrowns2 points22h
I am not going to watch the rest of this. I am absolutely going to watch the rest of this.
u/chagrin_falls_chipBrowns14 points22h
I cannot look.
u/Fluted_Column_31Cardinals16 points21h
14-14 and I have now put my other game on mute
u/Ledger_Line_2210Bears4 points21h
The tight end again.  Every single fucking week.
u/Pewter_Ridge_80849ers2 points21h
Cleveland has run it nine times for about eleven yards and they are tied.
u/Sheer_Anchor_1990Giants4 points21h
Vita Vea is eating the entire middle of their line by himself
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers5 points21h
He is the best player on the field and it is not close.
u/Ironbound_AveSteelers17 points21h
Judkins ran through the safety on that and the safety did not want it.
u/seven_hills_samBrowns3 points21h
Third and eleven and they threw it to the flat and got eleven. I am going to be sick
u/Tallow_Candle_66Bills5 points21h
24-14 and Tampa has not had a first down in a while
u/Wax_Paper_1188Bengals3 points21h
Cleveland has three receivers who are all rookies or second year and every one of them has caught something already
u/north_olmsted_nateBrowns2 points21h
Sanders has not put one anywhere near a defender all afternoon and that alone is a different quarterback from last year
u/Duval_Gary_Jaguars12 points21h
He did not put one anywhere near us either and we spent all week telling ourselves that was weather
u/paperweight_ted2 points21h
Is the Cleveland number 10 the one everybody was arguing about all summer or is that a different guy. I lose track of these things in September
u/north_olmsted_nateBrowns2 points21h
That is him. Two years of arguments and he is playing like this and neither side has moved a single inch.
u/Cobbled_Path_118840 points20h
Sanders just ran it in from fifteen and I did not know he did that.
u/tobias_wrenCommanders18 points20h
30-14 and they missed the extra point.
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers45 points20h
WE BLOCKED IT
u/gandy_bridge_Buccaneers5 points20h
Put that on the scoreboard forever.
u/tobias_wrenCommanders5 points20h
Blocked, sorry. It looked missed from the angle FOX had
u/Vellum_Sparrow_7Dolphins19 points20h
30-14 at half in Tampa.  I want everybody to remember where they were
u/Weathered_Ladle_66Jets5 points20h
How the fuck is this the same team that was down 14 in eight minutes.
u/Quiet_Gravel_7Broncos2 points20h
Somebody changed something. I do not know what and neither do you
u/Copper_Fitting_212Patriots20 points20h
They stopped playing man on the outside. That is the whole answer and it took them one quarter
u/Weathered_Ladle_66Jets6 points20h
Thank you, genuinely
u/Cracked_Lantern_66Titans2 points20h
Tampa is 0 for 6 on third down.
u/Stony_Harbour_5Lions2 points20h
Tampa just went for it on fourth and two from their own 41 down sixteen with a quarter and a half to play, which tells you where Bowles is at.
u/Gantry_Row_808EaglesJets2 points20h
Watching this with a Bucs fan in the room and he has not made a sound since the second quarter
u/Corked_Bottle_512Eagles6 points19h
The tight end is running the football now.
u/Ledger_Line_2210Bears6 points19h
37-14. He has a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in the same afternoon lmao
u/Plainview_RonnieBengals21 points19h
I turned on the Chargers game and turned it straight back off lmao
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers22 points19h
44 😭
u/Riven_Compass_400NFL23 points19h
Abanikanda for the Browns and I have no idea who the fuck that is
u/seven_hills_samBrowns6 points19h
He was in New York, then Nashville, then here. He has scored on his fifth carry as a Brown.
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets2 points19h
We had him.  Of course we had him
u/Nolan_PetrosyanPackers24 points19h
Judkins fumbled it and they gave it back to Cleveland eleven seconds later on a pick, this is not a real football game what the hell
u/Hushed_Anvil_26 points19h
Cleveland has thrown the ball 35 times and been sacked once. Against Vita Vea
u/Halyard_Point_77Ravens7 points19h
Their corner who got roasted twice just picked one off lmao
u/Cobbled_Path_11887 points19h
He has now had the worst quarter and one of the better second halves any corner has had this year.
u/lyndhurst_lBrowns26 points19h
I am at this game and there are more of us than them in the lower bowl on the west side
u/Wilted_Postbox_31Texans3 points19h
What is the food situation there,  genuinely asking, we play there in November.
u/gandy_bridge_Buccaneers7 points19h
There is a Publix sub stand and it is the only thing in the building worth the money
u/Wilted_Postbox_31Texans27 points19h
A grocery store sub. In a stadium
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers8 points19h
You are going to eat it and then you are going to think about it for a month
u/Nolan_PetrosyanPackers8 points19h
Chicken tender sub on Italian, and if you have not had one this is not a conversation you can be in.
u/lyndhurst_lBrowns2 points19h
I have never been in a Publix and I am now going to one tomorrow
u/Crescent_Ninth_Saints2 points19h
Wegmans people are going to come in here and start some shit.
u/tobias_wrenCommanders2 points19h
There is one four hours from you at most and it is worth the drive
u/Cinder_Wharf_212BroncosSaints2 points19h
Flicked over for four minutes and it is 44-14 and the FOX booth sound like they are at a funeral.
u/gandy_bridge_Buccaneers3 points19h
Bowles has not moved off that one spot on the sideline in an hour with his arms folded.
u/Quiet_Gravel_7Broncos15 points19h
Stop it
u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders9 points18h
47-14 and they are still going for it on fourth.
u/Vellum_Sparrow_7Dolphins9 points18h
Four for four on fourth down and five for thirteen on third. He has decided third down is optional
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers36 points18h
I am going to go and cut the grass
u/Stony_Harbour_5Lions29 points18h
It is 88 degrees.
u/brecksville_bob_Browns10 points18h
THE FULLBACK
u/Sheer_Anchor_1990Giants38 points18h
54-14 and the last one is a fullback touchdown. They are doing this on purpose now.
u/garfield_hts_ginaBrowns10 points18h
Burton has been in this league nine years and I have never once seen him get the ball
u/Sallow_Birch_44Chiefs3 points18h
Somebody in Cleveland is going to have to explain how the hell they have scored 89 points in two weeks
u/Tangled_Kite_909Colts30 points18h
Nobody has to explain anything. Two bad teams. That is the entire explanation and it is a good one.
u/Duval_Gary_Jaguars11 points18h
We are 0-2 and we lost to them by 28 and it is going to get worse when they win again next week
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers7 points18h
We play them next week.
u/Copper_Fitting_212Patriots2 points18h
Bucs are 0 for 11 on third down.
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers11 points18h
I asked one person not to do this.
u/Riven_Compass_400NFL3 points18h
Zero red zone trips for Tampa. In a home game.
u/Halyard_Point_77Ravens32 points18h
Mayfield has thrown it to the wrong team four times and he was 16 of 32 and that is somehow the least of it.
u/Fluted_Column_31Cardinals8 points18h
Final. 54-14. In Tampa
u/Sandpiper_Lane_7Vikings12 points18h
Fifty four.
u/fairview_park_fBrowns9 points18h
I asked for watchable.
u/north_olmsted_nateBrowns2 points18h
Fifty four on the road and not one person I know is enjoying it properly, we are all just stood here
u/Wrack_Line_9BengalsDolphins2 points18h
Two blowouts in two weeks and Cleveland is now the most watchable team on this network, which nobody planned for
u/tobias_wrenCommanders2 points18h
FOX put the scoring summary up and it is seven different names on it, which is a genuinely odd thing to look at.
u/Sallow_Trestle_66ChiefsRaiders2 points18h
I came in here at 14-0 to laugh at somebody and I have now been here two and a half hours
u/Rutland_Gap_72 points18h
Third time in eight days I have watched a Browns game for no reason and I have started to resent whoever did this to my Sunday afternoons

we beat seattle in seattle and then did that
u/Rivet_Ashlar_1188SteelersSteelers63 points20h
Same number, other side of it, eight days apart. I have no notes
u/Riven_Compass_400NFL12 points20h
Fewest total yards in football through two weeks and a 1-1 record
u/Sudden_Cactus_909Dolphins81 points20h
AFC East is three teams at 1-1 and the Jets and I refuse to think about this shit any further
u/Weathered_Ladle_66Jets17 points20h
correct
u/Ironbound_AveSteelers39 points20h
Ward looked like Ward.
u/seven_hills_samBrowns9 points20h
We know exactly what he is. We got two ones and I am still not right about it
u/Ironbound_AveSteelers18 points20h
October 1. Thursday night. Your place
u/seven_hills_samBrowns7 points20h
I have had that circled since the schedule came out and I have been dreading it since about two o clock today
u/Larchmont_SlopeRavens8 points20h
The AFC North has two 2-0 teams and neither of them is us or Pittsburgh and I would like a refund.
u/Plainview_RonnieBengals3 points20h
We are 2-0 and nobody on this website has said one word about it in eight days
u/Sallow_Trestle_66ChiefsRaiders6 points20h
New England has the fewest yards in football and beat the champions in Seattle eight days ago. Nothing means anything for another month
u/Copper_Fitting_212Patriots1 point20h
Three points. At home. I watched all of it and I could not tell you what the hell the plan was

We are 0-2 💀.
u/Pewter_Ridge_80849ers830 points19h
There is a room for this and we can tell you where it is.
u/Winnowed_Barley_5Seahawks208 points19h
I do not want to be in a room with you
u/Corked_Bottle_512Eagles96 points19h
We have keys to that room
u/Cobbled_Path_118849 points19h
Defending champion,  0-2, lost to Arizona
u/Thistle_Verge_44SeahawksSeahawks71 points19h
Every year. Every single fucking year and it is always September.
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys59 points19h
Rams are 2-0 and Seattle is 0-2. That division is finished and it is September the twentieth
u/Cornice_Shadow_9Rams18 points19h
Thank you.
u/Poplar_Grove_612Seahawks6 points19h
It is two games.
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys12 points19h
It is finished.
u/Fenwick_AlleyRams30 points19h
The NFC West is ours now
u/Quarry_Bend_1150RavensRavens14 points19h
Arizona won and this entire thread is about Seattle, which is the whole experience of following that team
u/Stipple_Harbor_31Commanders4 points19h
Super Bowl hangover is a real thing that everyone calls fake until it is their team.
u/Hushed_Anvil_22 points19h
It is fake and this is a coincidence and I will be back in twelve weeks to explain myself
u/Winnowed_Barley_5Seahawks1 point19h
I have watched every snap of both games and I do not think anything is actually wrong. Two possessions in two weeks. That is the entire difference and it is going to sound stupid in November when we are 9-4.
u/lyndhurst_lBrowns1 point19h
Seattle is 0-2 and Cleveland is 2-0 and I would like everyone to know I am not handling it in a normal way.

Stickied by moderators: the Buccaneers coaching staff discussion belongs in the Tampa Bay season thread. We have removed about ninety of them and they are all the same one.
u/gandy_bridge_Buccaneers13.1k points17hGold
we blocked an extra point
u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders883 points17h
Put it in the ring of honour
u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders72 points17h
Ring of honor.  I am not from here
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers217 points17h
Genuinely the highlight.
u/Riven_Compass_400NFL114 points17h
It is why the final says 54 and not 55.
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers32 points17h
So we won a phase
u/Marbled_Ledger_88Chargers8 points17h
You won the phase
u/Wilted_Postbox_31Texans14 points17h
Wait did you guys actually block a PAT
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers7 points17h
It is the only thing anybody has said to me since four o clock.
u/Weathered_Ladle_66Jets6.3k points17h
Bowles calls the defense himself btw
u/Tangled_Kite_909Colts432 points17h
He is going to have a very difficult meeting with himself on Tuesday lmao.
u/Sandpiper_Lane_7Vikings67 points17h
And he is going to win it.
u/Copper_Fitting_212Patriots8 points17h
He is going to go in there, look at the tape and decide the plan was sound.
u/Ledger_Line_2210Bears4 points17h
The plan was sound. The players did not execute the plan
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers87 points17h

u/Larchmont_SlopeRavens19 points16h
There is a headset. It is not connected to anything
u/Stipple_Harbor_31Commanders12 points16h
I applied
u/Hushed_Anvil_210 points16h
Same, and I coach eighth grade.
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers3 points16h
I fucking hate that I read all of it.
u/Stony_Harbour_5Lions1.1k points16h
Cleveland's corner gave up 123 yards on two plays in the first quarter and finished with an interception, and none of that is a typo
u/Sheer_Anchor_1990Giants102 points16h
And they never took him off the field.
u/Halyard_Point_77Ravens44 points16h
That is the actual story of the game and it is going to be the fifth thing anyone talks about
u/Sallow_Birch_44Chiefs11 points16h
Every staff I have ever watched benches him at 14-0.  Every single one
u/Vellum_Sparrow_7Dolphins6 points16h
Their safety played a great second half after that start, credit where it is due.
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers4 points16h
He got beaten twice and then they helped him. That is coaching and it is boring and it is coaching.
u/Plainview_RonnieBengals549 points16h
the youtube guy is 2-0 and leads the league in scoring lmao
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets50 points16h
I am so glad this is happening and I do not care what it means lmao.
u/Poplar_Grove_612Seahawks15 points16h
Nine months ago this was the funniest hire anybody had ever seen and it has somehow got funnier lmao.
u/albert_royse-13 points15h
I coach at a small college and I have friends who have given twenty five years to this and are still position coaches, and every one of them watched a man with no professional experience of any kind win by forty today. I understand this is a joke to everybody in here. It is not a joke in a coaching office and I would ask people to sit with that for a minute before the next one.
u/albert_royse240 points15h
Fine.
u/Weathered_Ladle_66Jets51 points15h
Everybody understands and it is still 54-14
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers290 points16h
Vita Vea had six tackles for loss and we lost by forty.
u/Sconce_Vandal_66Steelers61 points16h
Six. In one game. Playing nose
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers9 points16h
He took three guys on almost every snap and we still never had to put anyone in the box.
u/brecksville_bob_Browns16 points16h
We could not run the ball a single yard inside and we are not going to pretend otherwise. 84 on 29 carries.
u/Quiet_Gravel_7Broncos7 points16h
2.9 a carry and they scored 54 anyway,  which should not be fucking possible.
u/seven_hills_samBrowns4 points16h
Our interior has been bad for two straight weeks and the expensive one has been the worst of them
u/Duval_Gary_Jaguars241 points17h
Cleveland has beaten us and Tampa and we are a combined 0-4 and Tampa has the worst points allowed number in the league. That is the whole damn resume.
u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders141 points17h
This is completely correct and it does not make 54 less funny
u/Duval_Gary_Jaguars9 points17h
I did not say it was not funny. I am in the thread
u/Stipple_Harbor_31Commanders33 points17h
Carolina next week, then Pittsburgh on a Thursday. We are going to find out in eleven days
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers5 points17h
Do not put that on us
u/Vellum_Sparrow_7Dolphins175 points16h
I have no idea what I am looking at and I am not going to miss one of these.
u/Trimmed_Hedge_1204Chiefs45 points16h
This is where I am. I am not saying anything nice about him. I am saying I am watching
u/Fenwick_AlleyRams7 points16h
Nobody has to say anything nice about it for it to be the best thing on television on a Sunday.
u/Marled_Sedge_212Colts3 points16h
Two weeks ago I would have bet my house.  I would now bet slightly less of my house.
u/harker_lowell121 points15h
Going to do this once and then leave it alone. On both first quarter touchdowns Cleveland is in single high with the corner outside on an island, no help inside, and Tampa runs the same release both times. From the second quarter on they are almost entirely two high, the corner is playing off with his eyes in the backfield, and the pressure is coming from the linebacker level instead of the edge.

Tampa never solved it. That is where the 0 for 11 comes from and it is also where the four interceptions come from. It is not complicated and I am not saying it was clever. I am saying somebody looked at a scoreboard that said 14-0 and changed a thing that was not working, which is a lower bar than people are pretending and Tampa still could not clear it.
u/Cornice_Shadow_9Rams96 points15h
This is going to end up at about four hundred points under a comment about a blocked extra point and that is the correct order.
u/Corked_Bottle_512Eagles7 points15h
Good post
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers3 points15h
We had no answer for two high all afternoon and we have not had one since last November
u/harker_lowell3 points15h
To be clear I am not saying this is a genius.  I am saying it happened
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys100 points16h
Two weeks in and Cleveland has scored 89 points and their quarterback has not thrown one to the other team
u/Larchmont_SlopeRavens13 points16h
And the two teams they played have not thrown a punch between them.
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys73 points16h
Both of these are on the page and everyone is going to pick the one they came in with.
u/Fluted_Column_31Cardinals79 points16h
I am going to say the insane thing and log off.  Cleveland wins the AFC North.
u/Plainview_RonnieBengals195 points16h
log off then.
u/Fluted_Column_31Cardinals13 points16h
doing it now.
u/Foxglove_Byway_9Raiders64 points16h
Their linebacker had two picks and eleven tackles and I think he is a safety.
u/Wax_Paper_1188Bengals8 points16h
He is everywhere. Whatever he is.
u/Ironbound_AveSteelers58 points16h
Pittsburgh in Cleveland on a Thursday
u/Thatched_Ember_44Eagles41 points16h
The team that cut its quarterback over the allegations is now the highest scoring offence in football and every other front office in this league is going to pretend it did not notice.
u/Sallow_Birch_44Chiefs9 points16h
Nobody is going to draw that line out loud and everybody drew it privately at about four o clock.
u/Rumpled_Awning_71Giants34 points16h
Honest question,  no I am not being clever. Why is seven for eight in the red zone a big deal, is that not just scoring.
u/Modest_Kettle_5150Bills13 points16h
Most teams kick two or three of them. Seven touchdowns on eight trips is basically nobody
u/Rumpled_Awning_71Giants11 points16h
Got it, thank you both.
u/Wistful_Otter_3311Lions4 points16h
League average is about six in ten. So yeah it is a lot
u/Vellum_Sparrow_7Dolphins29 points16h
lmao.
u/Wilted_Postbox_31Texans26 points16h
Cleveland has punted three times in eight quarters of football and that is the number I keep getting stuck on
Edit: three across two games, not three today, a lot of you cannot read
u/Pewter_Ridge_80849ers16 points16h
Their punt returner is also one of their receivers and I think he plays running back some of the time as well
u/chagrin_falls_chipBrowns16 points16h
We are not normal people.
[deleted]15 points16h
[deleted]
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets7 points16h
He is right about the guard though
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets14 points16h
Jets are 0-2 and I have spent my whole Sunday evening reading about the Cleveland Browns and I would like everybody to sit with what that says about me
u/Sallow_Birch_44Chiefs11 points16h
Forty points
u/Riven_Compass_400NFL10 points16h
Cleveland won first downs 26 to 12 and yards 477 to 292 and held the ball most of the second half without ever running it well once. That is a very strange shape for a forty point win.
u/Larchmont_SlopeRavens3 points16h
6.8 a play with 2.9 a carry means almost every yard of that came through the air,  and they still gave up one sack
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers10 points16h
Being honest about our half of it because there is going to be a lot of noise about Cleveland tonight. We were 14-0 up and then did not get a first down for twenty five minutes.

After a while it stopped being scheme and turned into eleven men who had stopped believing the call was going to work. Five years of watching this defence and I have not seen one look like that.
u/Rushlight_Verge_5Buccaneers13 points16h
speak for yourself.
u/Balsam_Quay_31Saints9 points16h
As a Spurs supporter I would like to report that watching a team win by forty is a completely alien experience and I did not enjoy it as much as I expected
u/Fenwick_AlleyRams8 points16h
Rueben Bain went in the first round in April and the Cleveland right tackle put him on the floor twice and nobody is going to write a word about it this week
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys4 points16h
Second straight week against a first round edge and the second one went worse for the edge.
u/Wistful_Otter_3311Lions8 points16h
Somebody explain the fullback touchdown to me because Michael Burton has been in this league since before that head coach finished college.
u/garfield_hts_ginaBrowns26 points16h
Two yard goal line play they have run since August. It is about the ninth funniest thing about this game.
u/Poplar_Grove_612Seahawks8 points16h
He went for it four times, got all four, and then gave the game ball away to somebody else again. Second week running. Somebody on that beat is going to run out of ways to write that sentence
u/seven_hills_samBrowns3 points16h
Equipment staff last week. Nobody has said who got it today and he will not tell anyone
u/Cracked_Lantern_66Titans7 points16h
How is Fannin leading the entire league in touchdowns. He is a tight end
u/pilcher_ann7 points16h
New to this so be patient with me. When people say coverage bust do they mean one player ran to the wrong place, or that the plan was wrong. The commentary said bust on the 87 and then said bad coverage and I think those are two different things
u/tobias_wrenCommanders4 points16h
Usually it means one guy did not do his job. On that one it looked more like nobody had any help out there at all, which is a plan thing
u/Marbled_Ledger_88Chargers5 points16h
Quentin Johnston has 20 catches and 275 yards through two weeks and he has been mentioned once on this website.
u/Sconce_Vandal_66Steelers5 points16h
The number that stopped me is 15 tackles for loss. Fifteen. Against a line that has Wirfs on it
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers4 points16h
Genuinely how do you go 0 for 11 on third down at home.
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers9 points16h
Slowly, and then all at once, and then it is four o clock.
u/Vermilion_Stair_9Cardinals4 points16h
Two weeks ago every list on this website had Cleveland thirty first or thirty second and I would like the people who wrote those lists to know that I am keeping them.
u/Trestle_Field_77PackersChargers4 points16h
54 points, three penalties, one turnover, on the road. The tidy part is somehow harder to believe than the 54
u/dominic_orr_4 points16h
Watched this in a bar with about forty people and every single one of them was in for the other game,  and by the fourth quarter the barman had put the sound on for this one and nobody complained. I have never seen that happen for a Browns game in my life.
u/chagrin_falls_chipBrowns4 points16h
Been doing this since 1993 and it is not the winning that has thrown me, it is that both fourth quarters have been boring. Nobody prepared me for a boring fourth quarter.
u/Halyard_Point_77Ravens3 points16h
Anybody else notice they have punted three times in two games.
u/fairview_park_fBrowns3 points16h
Twice today.  I counted them because I did not believe it
u/Copper_Fitting_212Patriots3 points16h
Five for thirteen on third down is the thing Cleveland should be worried about and nobody who wins by forty is going to be worried about anything.
u/brecksville_bob_Browns2 points16h
We were poor on third and it did not matter because he kept going on fourth, and you cannot run that in January.
u/otto_vansickleBills3 points16h
Two punts in a road game is fewer punts than most teams manage in a quarter.
u/Ledger_Line_2210Bears3 points16h
People keep saying they have beaten nobody.  Somebody has to beat the bad teams and last year this exact team lost to the bad teams
u/Fluted_Column_31Cardinals3 points16h
Genuine question, has any team ever gone seven for eight in the red zone and still lost the rushing yards battle by that much
u/lakewood_lorneBrowns3 points16h
I would like to say something measured and I cannot. We are 2-0, we have scored 89 points, and I have spent nineteen years learning not to do this and I am doing it anyway
u/tallow_and_ash2 points16h
There is going to be a stretch of three weeks this year where this offence looks completely ordinary and every single one of the people posting today will be posting then as well, in the other direction, at the same volume.
u/marguerite_v2 points16h
My husband has explained the fourth down thing to me three times tonight and I still think it sounds like a man showing off
u/pilcher_ann1 point16h
First season watching properly and I did not understand any of the first quarter and then I understood all of the rest of it. Is that normal
u/Stipple_Harbor_31Commanders1 point16h
Szmyt hit both his field goals and had one extra point blocked and I only know that because I read the box score twice
u/Cracked_Lantern_66Titans1 point16h
I have watched every Cleveland snap this season out of pure curiosity and I still could not tell you whether it is real. Ask me in five weeks and I will still say the same thing.
u/orrin_hasp1 point16h
Honest question from someone who only watches the big games. Is 328 yards a lot for a quarterback now, because the commentary made it sound normal and the number sounds big to me
u/tobias_wrenCommanders4 points16h
It is a good day and not an enormous one. It is more that he did it on 35 throws without giving them anything, which is the harder part
u/wheatpaste_1 point16h
Anybody got a link to the second interception,  the FOX highlight page has the first one twice for some reason.
u/ossian_bell1 point16h
Started following this sport last autumn on a whim and this is the first game I have watched where I could tell what was going to happen before it happened, and I think that says more about Tampa than about me
u/Rushlight_Verge_5Buccaneers-6 points16h
Mayfield had 267 yards. He played fine. The defense lost this game and it is not close.
u/Rushlight_Verge_5Buccaneers-19 points15h
Two of the four were tipped by our own receivers. Go and watch it before you vote on it.
u/Rushlight_Verge_5Buccaneers-34 points15h
I am the only person in this thread who watched the whole game apparently.  16 of 32 in a blowout where you are throwing every down is not a bad line
u/strongsville_shane_Browns-8 points16h
We released a rapist and then went and scored 54 points in someone else's building. I am fine with how this is going
u/brecksville_bob_Browns17 points16h
We would have kept him if he could play and every one of you knows it, including me. Do not do this one.
u/Thatched_Ember_44Eagles3 points16h
A Browns fan turning up to say that unprompted is the only version of this I can stand

who the fuck is this guy
u/seven_hills_samBrowns1.7k points15h
Second rounder out of UCLA. He did this last year too and nobody outside Ohio watched a snap of it
u/Foxglove_Byway_9Raiders82 points15h
Well I am watching now.
u/Poplar_Grove_612Seahawks46 points15h
He had a hundred and something tackles as a rookie on a bad team,  which is the fastest way in this league to be invisible.
u/Thatched_Ember_44Eagles468 points15h
11 tackles, four for loss, a sack, two interceptions, four passes defensed. In one game
u/Cobbled_Path_118890 points15h
There is not a linebacker line like that anywhere this season and it is week two.
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers20 points15h
He was in our backfield all fucking day and we blocked him with a running back four separate times.
u/Stipple_Harbor_31Commanders3.4k points15h
he is 23
u/Trimmed_Hedge_1204Chiefs229 points15h
Twenty three with the green dot on a defence that just held a team to zero red zone trips
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets35 points15h
He is younger than four guys we cut
u/Sconce_Vandal_66Steelers1.4k points15h
Two interceptions and four for loss and he plays for the team everybody is watching for a different reason entirely
u/brecksville_bob_Browns105 points15h
This has been the story here for eight months and the football keeps being the fourth item
u/Wax_Paper_1188Bengals507 points15h
the safety with two picks is unreal.
u/Marbled_Ledger_88Chargers65 points15h
He was everywhere in that second half
u/Bitter_Almond_66Falcons185 points15h
Schwessinger
u/Balsam_Quay_31Saints52 points15h
Schweisinger.
u/Wilted_Postbox_31Texans9 points15h
Swesinger
u/harker_lowell6 points15h
It is Schwesinger. Three of you have now spelled it four different ways in one chain
u/Bitter_Almond_66Falcons21 points15h
I am not learning that this week.
u/orpington_kell158 points14h
The thing on this clip that is worth watching twice is not the catch. Watch him at the snap. He opens to the field, takes three steps like he is carrying the back out of the backfield, and then stops dead and drives on a throw that has not left the quarterback's hand yet.

He is not reading the receiver. He is reading the guard, who has already told him it is a quick game concept, and once you have that you can leave early. He did it four times today. That is a young player who has been given permission to guess and has earned it.
u/Salted_Gutter_1188Patriots134 points15h
Mayfield threw two of the four at him personally and the second one he was standing where the receiver was going to be before the receiver got there.
u/Odd_Pelican_4407Buccaneers42 points15h
He read the whole concept and we ran it anyway because it was on the sheet
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets78 points15h
Green dot
u/Larchmont_SlopeRavens75 points15h
AFC defensive player of the week is going to be announced on Wednesday and they should just send it now
u/Pewter_Ridge_80849ers68 points15h
Nakobe Dean has 28 tackles and Christian Gonzalez has four picks and both of them are going to be footnotes to a linebacker in Cleveland this week
u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders56 points15h
UCLA had this man for four years and I watched about nine snaps of UCLA in four years
u/Marbled_Ledger_88Chargers11 points15h
Nobody watched UCLA. That is the entire reason he was there in the second round
u/Modest_Kettle_5150Bills53 points15h
He leads the league in passes defensed. A linebacker
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers9 points15h
That is going to correct itself by October and it is still very funny right now.
u/Larchmont_SlopeRavens39 points15h
Send it
u/Sandpiper_Lane_7Vikings27 points15h
Two picks from an off ball linebacker in one game is rare on its own. Four passes defensed on top of it does not repeat, and it is going to make his season numbers look insane for about a month.
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys22 points15h
Whoever is running the Browns defence is going to get interviewed for a head job in January and the Browns head coach is going to be the reason people notice him
u/garfield_hts_ginaBrowns7 points15h
Rutenberg.  He almost left in January and stayed and nobody outside Cleveland knows his name.
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys12 points15h
I do now.
u/Fluted_Column_31Cardinals15 points15h
lmfao
u/Osier_Wend_77Packers14 points14h
Marson Cwhesinger.
u/Osier_Wend_77Packers11 points14h
Late. Somebody did this two hours ago and did it better
u/Rushlight_Verge_5Buccaneers13 points15h
Our tackles were beaten all day and this is being written up as a linebacker having a game
u/Sheer_Anchor_1990Giants83 points15h
Both things happened
u/Nolan_PetrosyanPackers10 points15h
He also had four tackles for loss, so he was in the backfield about as often as he was in coverage, and those are normally two different men
u/Ivory_Doorstop_58 points15h
Eleven tackles and four of them behind the line is the sort of thing that used to be on the back of a card
u/Rushlight_Verge_5Buccaneers8 points15h
He is a very good player and he had a very good game against an offence that had quit before halftime, and I am going to get buried for the second half of that.
u/Stony_Harbour_5Lions77 points15h
You are getting buried for the last nine words lmao
u/Pennant_Row_444 points15h
I do not know a single thing about this player and I have now watched a two minute clip of him four times, which is how this website is supposed to work
u/lakewood_lorneBrowns2 points15h
We have been telling people about him since about week nine of last season and nobody outside this state has ever wanted to hear it.
u/Ironbound_AveSteelers6 points15h
Every fanbase has one of those guys and about one in ten of them turns out to be right

THE CLEVELAND BROWNS
u/Weathered_Ladle_66Jets778 points8h
I have read the headline four times and it says the same thing every time
u/Stony_Harbour_5Lions55 points8h
Read it a fifth time. It is better.
u/Duval_Gary_Jaguars268 points8h
44.5 a game. Against us and against Tampa. Please write that part down too
u/Gilded_Marmot_44Raiders120 points8h
Nobody is writing that part down and you know it
u/Winnowed_Barley_5Seahawks2.1k points8h
The Browns lead the league in scoring and the Super Bowl champion is 0-2.  I would like to go back to bed.
u/Pewter_Ridge_80849ers149 points8h
Second week running you have made this about you.
u/Thatched_Ember_44Eagles1.0k points8h
Fewest points allowed is the Rams at 20 and most points allowed is Tampa at 86, and one team has played Cleveland
u/Cypress_Yard_5Buccaneers76 points8h
please.
u/Halyard_Point_77Ravens604 points8h
Nix and Mayfield are tied on interceptions at four and one of them got all four of his in a single afternoon
u/Quiet_Gravel_7Broncos69 points8h
Nix has 849 yards through two weeks and he is going to do this to us for fifteen years and we will take it.
u/Tangled_Kite_909Colts369 points8h
Daniel Jones went 23 of 38 for 358 and four touchdowns and won offensive player of the week and I need everybody to understand how strange my life has become
u/Rumpled_Awning_71Giants47 points8h
do not
u/Tangled_Kite_909Colts92 points8h
2-0
u/Stipple_Harbor_31Commanders206 points8h
Jayden Daniels threw for 300 on 23 attempts with five touchdowns and it is the fourth story of the week
u/Ledger_Line_2210Bears22 points8h
Five touchdowns on 23 throws and the top post is about a fucking fullback in Tampa.
u/brecksville_bob_Browns130 points8h
2-0 and top of the league in scoring and I have made no plans for October and I am not going to
u/Ironbound_AveSteelers36 points8h
October 1.
u/brecksville_bob_Browns23 points8h
I know what date it is.
u/Nolan_PetrosyanPackers108 points8h
Josh Jacobs has 283 rushing yards and Etienne has four rushing touchdowns and neither of them is going to be mentioned again until December
u/Osier_Wend_77Packers97 points8h
Highest scoring team in football
u/Marbled_Ledger_88Chargers70 points8h
Khalil Mack has four and a half sacks in two games at 35 years old
u/pilcher_ann62 points8h
Every list on television this morning still has Cleveland in the bottom five and one of them has them at twenty. That is a seventeen place spread on a 2-0 team and I did not know that was allowed.
u/Riven_Compass_400NFL13 points8h
Nobody knows what to do with them so everybody has picked a different wrong answer
u/Sheer_Anchor_1990Giants57 points8h
Cleveland at 44.5 a game. Cleveland. There are people alive who sat through every game of the 0-16 season.
u/Salted_Gutter_1188Patriots43 points8h
Four coaches on television this morning saying out loud that this is an insult to the profession,  and every one of them was right and every one of them was talking about a team that has scored 89 points.
u/Sandpiper_Lane_7Vikings85 points8h
Both of those can sit there. Nobody has to fix it.
u/albert_royse7 points8h
It is an insult and it is going to keep being one on the weeks they lose as well, which is when nobody will be asking
u/Foxglove_Byway_9Raiders28 points8h
Eight red zone trips and seven touchdowns. There is no part of that sentence that sounds like the Cleveland Browns
u/Bitter_Almond_66Falcons24 points8h
Concepcion leads the league in punt return average and Fannin leads it in total touchdowns and both of those men are on the Cleveland Browns.
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers5 points8h
stop reading the leaderboards
u/Sconce_Vandal_66Steelers14 points8h
Cleveland is going to be favoured at home against Carolina next week,  and I did not expect to type that in September.
u/orpington_kell11 points8h
Worth saying that scoring average after two games is the least stable number in the sport, and Cleveland's two opponents are 0-4 with the worst points allowed figure in football between them. It is also 89 points, and nobody scores 89 points by accident.
u/parkview_paulineBrowns11 points8h
I have screenshotted the standings page.
u/Sallow_Birch_44Chiefs10 points8h
Broncos lead the league in total yards, Cleveland leads it in points, and one of those teams is 1-1
u/Trestle_Field_77PackersChargers6 points8h
Jason Sanders has six field goals and Cleveland has attempted three all season, which tells you plenty about both teams.
u/otto_vansickleBills4 points8h
Nobody in here has said one word about the Bengals being 2-0
u/lakewood_lorneBrowns4 points8h
Leading the league in scoring in September is not a thing anybody in this city is going to bank.  It is a thing we are going to screenshot.
u/marguerite_v1 point8h
I understand about a third of this thread and I read all of it every Monday anyway.

Bryce Young RB1
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers314 points7h
We do not talk about it. We just let it happen.
u/Hushed_Anvil_295 points7h
He is going to lead the league in this all season and nobody is ever going to give him a carry on purpose lol
u/AdAstra_Trolley_5Jets255 points7h
8.8 a carry. Derrick Henry has never had a season like that and he is built like a damn door
u/Cracked_Lantern_66Titans25 points7h
Do not bring him into this.
u/Osier_Wend_77Packers123 points7h
Cleveland is averaging 2.9 a carry and leads the league in scoring and Bryce Young is at 8.8 and Carolina is 1-1.  September statistics are the best thing this sport produces
u/Corked_Bottle_512Eagles38 points7h
Two more weeks of this and then it all goes boring
u/tobias_wrenCommanders66 points7h
How many carries
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers157 points7h
Do not ask that
u/Riven_Ashcroft_88Cowboys14 points7h
They beat Atlanta convincingly and this is the only Carolina fact anybody has learned this week
u/Vermilion_Stair_9Cardinals3 points7h
Cleveland at Carolina next week is going to be an odd little football game.
u/Bramble_Court_9Panthers10 points7h
Carolina at Cleveland.  We are going there.

Serious discussion: Tampa Bay went 0-for-11 on third down and never reached the red zone. What actually changed after the first quarter?Discussion

I would like to keep this off the head coach if anybody can manage it. Tampa scored on two of their first four snaps from scrimmage and then did not get past midfield again until the fourth quarter. Cleveland changed the coverage shell and the pressure structure inside the first quarter and Tampa never adjusted to either. Interested in what people saw, particularly from anybody who follows Tampa week to week.

The short version is that they went from single high with the corners on islands to two high with the corner playing off, and Tampa's whole passing game last week and this week is built on winning outside on one on one looks. Take the one on ones away and Zac Robinson does not have a second thing.
u/orpington_kell88 points6h
People are going to want this to be a story about a head coach and I think the honest answer is that it is a story about a coordinator with a good week. Rutenberg has run this exact adjustment before, in Baltimore, in a game nobody remembers.

The interesting question is not whether the change was clever. It is who was allowed to make it at 14-0 in the first quarter, because plenty of buildings do not let that happen until halftime.
u/Corked_Bottle_512Eagles2 points6h
This is the most useful thing anybody has written about that game and it is at 88 points.
u/harker_lowell2 points6h
Agreed on all of it. The 0 for 11 is not a Tampa problem alone and it is not a Cleveland triumph alone, and there is no version of the internet that is going to hold both of those at once
u/harker_lowell59 points6h
What I would watch is whether the two high look holds against a team that can actually run, because Tampa could not, and Carolina can.

One thing nobody has raised.  They ran it 29 times for 84 and kept going back to it. At 44-14 they were still handing it into a wall, so either they were burning clock or they wanted the tape

Both, and it is week two, and you do not want to be the team that cannot run when it is December on the lake

The five for thirteen on third down is being ignored because of the fourth downs and I think it is going to matter against a defence that can hold up

Nobody in here has mentioned that we were playing without our left tackle for most of the second half.

I do not really understand a lot of this and I read all of it anyway. Thank you for writing it out.

This is the nicest thing anybody has said in one of these

Cleveland's interior line is the actual story and nobody wants it. Vea had six for loss. Six. That is a full afternoon of one man beating three of them.

From the Cleveland side the thing I would want people to look at is the fourth downs. Four for four, and three of those were the sort of call that gets a coach roasted for a week if one of them fails. It is a decision pattern and it is two weeks old and it is going to break somewhere

Nobody is going to read a word of this and everybody is going to read a four word comment about a blocked extra point, which I upvoted myself, so.

Zero red zone trips is the number that should be the headline.  Not the 54. A team at home going a full game without reaching the twenty is a rarer thing than a blowout
u/Wistful_Otter_3311Lions3 points6h
Rarer and much less funny, which is the whole reason it is not the headline
